Similarities…

This painting is settling in nicely… i think ive always been fascinated with the landscape as a view, from far away… usually from a car window but today, this is reminding me of a sunset boat tour with some very special friends for a very special wedding day around the San Juan Islands. 🫶🫶

Partly at the bottom I see a cove I grew up visiting thats magical and always felt like a secret for our eyes only. Near the top right the little hill-rise reminds me of a rocky outcropping I see on the way to visit my daughter in North NorCal.

Similarity exists across lots of the worlds natural shapes and also its natural that we find patterns while also acknowledging its helps us feel connected to the world and each other. Love connects us, hate divides us, keep celebrating the good in each other, the similarities and of course, let’s celebrate our happy differences too, when possible and plausible 🫶

Last weekend I took a train ride with my husband and sweet mother 🫂 so now you may see more deciduous trees in my work.
